"I'd been fascinated by financial crime risk for years and realised a long term career ambition when I joined the JFSC. Every day I feel I am making a contribution to keeping Jersey “safe” for both economic and social reasons. It is not a job for me, it is a vocation; every day is different, challenging, exciting and rewarding."

"I joined the JFSC in 2000 as the first graduate on the very first graduate programme. Since then, the organisation has been committed to my development through professional qualifications, internal and external secondments, more recently my IoD qualifications, and ultimately my current role as Director of Policy and a member of the Executive Board. As a result, I am now committed to using that expertise in the best long term interests of the JFSC"

JFSC Employee Handbook

The JFSC is committed to supporting its employees at every level of their professional journey. Our Employee Handbook is available to both existing and prospective employees and reflects our intention to be a forward-thinking and flexible organisation. The Employee Handbook provides guidance on the high standards we aim to maintain across all areas of the JFSC and offers clarity on our policies, as well as details about how we commit to developing, rewarding and supporting our employees.

JFSC Employee Handbook

"I joined the JFSC in 2016, having previously worked in hospitality for five years. I am now a Officer in the Registry team and can proudly look back on my development since I started here with the financial knowledge and skills that I have already and continue to acquire. The JFSC is a great place to work; the organisation encourages and motivates you to succeed and is hugely supportive of personal development. I have recently passed my International Finance Certificate.”

Sintija Plaude

Officer, Registry

The organisation is undergoing a period of change in the way we operate. Focusing on our people and our processes, these changes are providing employees with opportunities to try new things, undertake secondments and develop new and existing skills. The key focus is on our staff taking an active role and owning the change.

Enhanced leadership and performance management, significant improvements in our internal and external communications, the development of a new website and intranet, plus updates to all our systems technologies see the JFSC grow into a modern, flexible and forward-thinking organisation.

"I came to the JFSC from the finance industry. I had little regulatory experience but was very lucky to be mentored by some extremely patient and knowledgeable colleagues. The JFSC has always been very supportive of personal development and since joining I have managed to attain two relevant qualifications."
